As in Buyukorhan, the Jotun giants failed to secure the element of surprise. Perhaps it was simple unfamiliarity with the territory that led them to unsuitable disembarkment locations with nearby pastures of small-game hunting grounds. Nevertheless, it was with fear in their hearts that the peasants of Harmancik -armed and unarmed alike- looked upon the one-thousand enormous invaders.
ORDER OF BATTLE:

Thane Gudrik Stood with his bodyguard in the center of his greatswords. He'd split the Light foot to cover each flank. He held up a hand and the roundshiers began to fall into a light trot moving to either side of the dwarven force. Behind the main line the marines started loosing volley after volley into the dwarven ranks. When the roundshiers were about half way he held raised a horn giving to short blasts. His men and the great swords began to run as well. They would crush the dwarves head on.
Meanwhile about 75 of the roundshiers from each flanking group had broken off and headed towards the village to prevent the escape of as many civilians as possible. The remaining troops were to hit the dwarven flanks about the same time as the thane and the other troops.
-The Roundshiers are split into two units of 250, one on each flank. They move to attack the flanks with 75 from each force splitting off to secure the village. -The Shock and Thane Gudrik attack the dwarves after the marines fire a few volleys into them.

With the sight of giants coming in such large numbers, the peasants knew they had little hope of actually winning the battle. The town elder had given hurried orders to his people, the archers would fire on the giants while the roundshier began evacuating the villagers, the pikes would attempt to hold the line long enough for the villagers and the rest to escape.
It was clearly not a favorable plan but the people of Harmancik knew they needed to get back to the capital to report what was happening and to save their families.
--
Dwarven forces begin the retreat, archers provide covering fire, pikes attempt to keep the giants at bay while the roundshier escort civilians away from the battle and towards the capital.

With the grim determination of parents and siblings preparing to die for their kin, the front ranks of militia formed their wall: The first line dug their pikes into the ground pointing at an upward angle, while the next three ranks held theirs at shoulder height pointing forward. It was a simple enough formation, static and unidirectional, and here it would serve the village well. But it would not be enough. In the atmosphere of fear and confusion, the village archers managed only sporadic fire, and the giants seemed to shrug off most of the arrows that hit. As for the Jotun's fire, hundreds of spear-sized bolts and arrows falling into a tight formation was a recipe for carnage well before the dwarven charge hit. But even through the tangled mess of skewered bodies and severed limbs, the militia held fast to receive the charge. Crack! Clang! Splat! Some spears broke, others hit giant shields or weapons, and the lucky ones managed to sink righteously into the flesh of the raiders. For a moment, it seemed as if the peasants just might hold the line, particularly as the archers delivered accurate close-range fire at the large, nearby enemies. But just as quickly, the line began to fall apart. There were simply too many giants, armed with fearsome greatswords and axes that rivaled the length of the dwarven pikes. Equally decisive was the center spearhead of terrifying giants in full plate, even taller and stronger than their comrades, as well as the influx of roundshiers eating away at the edges of the line. The determination of the peasants was not enough to save them once the last semblance of a pike-wall devolved into disarray. The brave many who stayed were cleaved and smashed to pieces. The rest lost the last of their nerves and ran along with the archers, who had just lost their cover. Unfortunately, there was no road to safety. Giant roundshiers were engaging their own in a dragged-out melee, the families under their guard cowering in fear. And now the last of the frontline soldiers were fleeing in their direction, the main force of giants behind them in hot pursuit. En masse, the peasants under arms began to drop their weapons and shout cries of surrender. It took a moment for the battle-frenzied Jotun to process this, and in the meantime they were busy ramming into the mass of dwarves and knocking handfuls of them any which way with their huge axes and greatswords in trails of blood and flesh. But finally, knowing he ought to at least consider the value of prisoners before him, Thane Gudrik ordered the attack to cease. The giant raiders could no examine their prizes. _____ Jotun Clans take the village and force a mass surrender with relatively light casualties!
Casualties 53 City Shock Infantry 86 City Roundshiers Gain 3 Gold from looting Take 1,500 military prisoners and 6,000 civilian prisoners Sultanate of Beg Guhrim's militia break under the weight of attack and surrender to the superior giant force!
All soldiers dead, captured, or deserted. No civilians escape. Harmancik Village at the mercy of the Jotun Clans. JOTUN CLANS MUST NOW DECIDE THE FATE OF THE VILLAGE AND ITS SURVIVORS.

In the end there would be no prisoners taken from Harmancik. As soon as all the loot from the village had been loaded Gudrik ordered the slaughter of the dwarves en masse. their heads would be stacked in great pyramids with beards being hacked off as trophies. Beside them a crude signpost was erected with a simple message 'Back taxes due'. The headless bodies would be thrown into the river with little ceremony. The giants would continue their voyage up river.
-All prisoners executed and village torched. -3 Gold loaded onto the ships and the Jotun move on.
