When several-hundred giants showed up on the shores near Buyukorhan village, they landed far too close to a scattering of local shepherds, who fled for the village center before the Jotun had even disembarked. By the time the raiders made it to the settlement proper, bells were ringing and the militia was assembling.

Captain Gornar lead his men onto the field ready to fight. Behind them were A contingent of marines. "Ready lads! Lets kill us some ankle biters!" And suddenly 500 Giants were on the charge. Bellowing while crossbow bolts the size of spears reigned down over their heads and into their intended targets. He could see that the conscripts were unprepared and unsure. Now he would show them they had no hope.
Roundshiers charge the dwarven lines aiming for either the Rounshiers or the archers. Marines fire into the dwarves to soften them up and then join the battle once the roundshiers make contact, aiming for a flank rather than head on.

The village elder of Buyukorhan had been prepared for the possibility of raiders by his predecessor, while in times such as this they had only to worry about small groups of bandits roaming across the land on occasion, it was rare for such a large force and as skilled as they were. But he would defend his people with his life and so would his comrades. He gave out quick orders as his archers took to the roofs of their hovels and began firing upon the oncoming force and the marines.
Meanwhile the pikes had formed up at the village entrance, hoping to 'retreat' into the village drawing them in while most of the roundshier attempt to attack the giants from the side. A group of 200 roundshier break off and wait to charge the marines once the main fight is joined.

Archers fire upon the oncoming force and the marines.
200 roundshier attempt to break off and engage the marines before turning around to attack the main force from behind.

Moderation Mark
The elder's plan would have been wise, were it not for the soldiers at his disposal. Scattered but horrifying impalings by giant "crossbow bolts" were already weighing on the cohesion of the formation, which had been a rushed job from the beginning. But ordering a tactical retreat was too much for the under-trained and under-prepared militia, who failed to break ranks in a proper or coordinated fashion, leaving the ranks closest to the charging giants clogged in position for a few too many crucial seconds. The giants crashed into them like a hammer to glass, shattering the calculated feint into a confused rout in all directions. The faster giants eagerly pursued, quite literally strewing the village paths and hovels with limbs, heads, innards, broken bodies, shards of pikes, and all manner of unidentifiable flesh. Fortunately, the roundshiers had time to prepare themselves more properly. The screams and cries of their comrades were growing closer and more desperate, filling many with fear and revulsion. But still they remembered their orders, and a great shout they charged the flanks of the giant invaders. Slashing and bashing at their surprised opponents' legs, they felled many, whom they immediately finished off once they hit the ground. Then, slowly but surely, both sides lost the last of their momentum. The fight devolved into an ugly, grinding melee. Ironically, the dwarven archers proved more useful now than earlier. Their volleys had done little to slow the giants' initial charge: The beastly folk were simply too fast for the peasants stick enough arrows in them before the impact. But now, on rooftops and aiming for lumbering twelve-foot opponents, they were free to shoot with little fear of friendly fire. Of course, the Jotun's height also allowed some to merely slap archers off the rooftops like pesky insects, but the tenacious roundshiers prevented this more than the giants liked. Meanwhile, the giants had lost what little ranged support they had when the marines were forced to engage a group of roundshiers going for a wide flank. The marines managed to spot them before they could get too close, devastating the oh-so-clever dwarves by making skewers out of them. But enough pressed on that there was a fight nonetheless, keeping the Jotun rear formation occupied if not especially damaged. In the end, with casualties mounting on both sides and archers running out of ammunition, the contest was decided simply by who could last the longest without tiring, and there the better-trained and stronger giants had the edge. By then, much of the populace had fled and many militiafolk had deserted the field anyways. But what remained belonged to the Clans...at a hefty price in giant lives. RESULTS:Jotun Clans win a pyrrhic victory, taking the village at a horrendous cost in casualties.Casualties 288 City Roundshiers 17 Marines Gain 3 Gold from looting Take 460 military prisoners and 1,000 civilian prisoners (1,460 prisoners total) Sultanate of Beg Guhrim courageously defends the village and inflicts high casualties on the attackers, but loses in the end.
All soldiers dead, captured, or deserted. Majority of civilians flee into the wilderness. Buyukorhan Village at the mercy of the Jotun Clans JOTUN CLANS MUST NOW DECIDE THE FATE OF THE VILLAGE AND ITS SURVIVORS. (Vaklu makes a final post)

After the battle every weapon his men could find was gathered and bundled together and loaded on the ships.
Captain Gornar stood before his captives, a dwarven arrow sticking from his shoulder. "So most of your people fled eh? Well I hope the foraging is good round here." With a wave of his hand his men began to load some of the prisoners aboard the ships along with the loot they'd taken. The dwarves who'd fought had been separated from the civilians and loaded aboard the ships save those who had been crippled beyond use then the strongest looking of the civilians were loaded aboard. I Meanwhile the gaints would burn the village to the ground and after that the fields as well would burn.
In all they would leave 360 dwarves on the shore with enough food to provide for a weeks travel and once the giants were underway all the weapon bundles one were thrown into the river. The last bundle, mostly swords and pikes was thrown upon the shore. Gornar Pointed east and shouted to the dwarves. "About a weeks travel to sylph lands from here. Good luck and Aed guide your steps." His sing song manner could almost be thought sweet if you didn't realize he'd given weapons and the only food to a small group while all their neighbors roamed the hills with empty bellies. His joke would leave Gornar and his men laughing all the way back to the home islands.
-400 military captives and 700 civilian captives along with 3 gold taken back to the Jotun capital.
