Sir Drystan allowed a scowl to tease over the features. The Sylph peered at the encampment up ahead, of the renowned and ruthless Wild Hunt. A mercenary company with no flag to call their own. Unlike the rest of the Fae when they had crossed over, they had remained a warband rather than joining under a new nation or forming their own. Instead they sold their blades to the highest bidder. With thousands of Orc's on the move, the Sylph had no choice but to seek out much needed reinforcements for themselves. The knight slowly approached the encampment, pausing as the sentries emerged from the treeline.
'' Brother Fae. '' He called out. '' I come representing King Cadoc and Prince Aeron. We would seek your help against the wingless elves. My Lord is prpeared to offer coin for your services. ''

There was a thump of landing from behind the knight. "Any foes worth slaying? Great leaders, not cattle or I think I won't be playing." The Figure of Cadfael Tanglemane was fearsome to behold, his hair was woven in great plats with bones and other fetishes. Stripped to the waist his woad markings seemed to glow and pulse with power. He was all that the sylph had once been. "I'm willing to hear you out. Who will we be hunting and how much do you offer?"

'' The so called Queen of Sefti is said to be a powerful warrior. She's been leading the Sefti armies for centuries. My Lord is prepared to make an offer of four thousand jien (4 Gold) as a signing bonus with three thousand jien to be paid every year (3 Gold). '' The knight said turning to confront the figure behind him.

"A princely sum indeed." He walked around the knight as he spoke, forcing him to turn to keep sight of him. "I find such a agreement acceptable. Though one would think Cadoc would want his wife returned to him rather than dead, so he might make her sing himself." A cruel grin spread across his features. "But maybe he likes to watch, yes? It is no matter the wingless will howl when we tickle them with our blades." He spun around on his heel suddenly and leaned in close to the knight. "We'll seal the pact in the old way when we reach the capital, yes" His glance shifted to a knife on his belt. "Cadoc knows I'm sure. So much forgotten be, he should at least remember that." With that Cadfael burst away yelling for the horselines to be struck and the company mounted and moving.
