To the Vaekir,
Having as of late had an increased exposure and interaction with Aedakom realms, His Sacred Majesty and many in Eshara are of the conviction that cordial relations must be established between Eshara and the Vaekirate - which, after all, so many of our neighbouring realms look to for guidance and reassurance. We too deem it only right to look towards the Vaekirate for reassurance concerning the Aedakom faith and, following certain occurrences, do call upon the Vaekirate to enlighten Us as to the position of the faith on a few matters.
We are, first and foremost, curious to know what the position of the faith is with regards to declarations of war. Is it legal, for instance, to assault the lands and people of a sovereign nation without an official declaration of war?
We are, secondly, curious to know what the position of the faith is with regards to the peaceful civilians of a nation with which one is at war. Is it legal to kill, loot, or cause such civilians to flee for their lives?
We are, thirdly, curious to know what the position of the faith is with regards to raiding attacks against the defenceless lands and peoples of another sovereign state. Is it legal to conduct such an action, and does the faith look at it as worthy of honour and praise? Or is it the correct thing to face one's foe in the field?
We are, fourthly, curious to know what the position of the faith is with regards to acts of genocide, mass-killing, and arbitrary destruction of an entire city and other population centres. We note that the Vaekirate reacted with great alarm to the ruination of one city in the not too distant past - was such an exceptional reaction, or was such the general position of the faith with regards to the wanton destruction of cities and population centres and the murder of their inhabitants?
We thank the Vaekirate for considering Our queries, and We look forward to a cordial and mutually beneficial and enlightening relationship for many years and decades to come. Please expect Our envoy to arrive before you to discuss many things in the near future.
