Feanor Aedsword felt great trepidation as he reached the city of Messara after a long voyage. His brother's faith in the strength of the Orcish people was admirable, often inspirational, but it also drove him to pride. Feanor was not quite sure that the rest of the Orcish Houses would have the same zeal for their shared heritage. If that happened, would Artog back down? Feanor doubted he'd want to, but the Elders would be another story. If they decided to make peace Artog wouldn't have much choice. That would be, at best, an inglorious ending to his Chiefdom, however, and Feanor didn't want that.
So here he was, one of many priests of the Aedsword family, here in Messara at his brother's request, to seek the Vaekir's aid in war. Perhaps the ancient alliance between Firetooth and Vaekirate would be the key to victory yet again. Feanor hoped so.

Feanor was met with a number of functionaries and servants who gladly relieved him of his possessions to be brought to his chambers. A lower ranking member of the clergy who mumbled a bit too much for his name to be quite audible led Feanor up to the waiting room. The doors to the Conclave chambers opened and out stepped a middle aged Messarom with his hands held in a votive position at his waistline.
"Ah. Brother Aedsword, I have been expecting you. I am Coenraad, Chief Priest of Messara."
The Chief Priest gave a low bow before uncoupling his hands and waving for the orcish priest to join him. They walked for a moment in silence before exiting the enclosed area of the Vaekir's Palace and onto one of the many hanging gardens that gazed out across the immense holy city.
"I have been told of your coming and its relation to your war. My counterpart from Orcland has shared the misfortune of your people with me; I must offer my condolences."

"I must humbly thank you." Feanor replied, bowing respectfully to the Chief Priest. "What we had hoped would be a swift victory has dragged out further than it has any right to. The intervention of the 'Holy Union' has propped up the giants. My brother is currently in negotiations with the pagans for a settlement; Aed willing, they will come to an agreement." Aed willing indeed. But like most Orcs, Feanor doubted the giants would budge. Sacrye might be on its last leg, but their kind were not known for their compassion or willingness to compromise. He doubted Aonag cared what happened to his people, so long as the hated Orcs did not take his land.
"I am here at his request, to request the Vaekirate's aid should negotiations fall through. My brother has two requests: that Chief Hardak Boarsplitter be named a Martyr of the faith. He fought bravely against pagans to the best of his ability, and saved many lives by holding off the Giant's assault for the first day, allowing our troops to withdraw. Surely his bravery in the face of the murderous Sacrye is worthy of veneration." It would also placate House Boarsplitter for the loss of their Chief, and invest them in the war. Having a songed martyr in the family was a great honor, even if it was a tragedy.
"My brother also formally requests the assistance of a Tovenaar-Akur in this war, as we seek to drive out the pagan occupiers who have ruled over faithful orcs for too long already.

"Yes. I had read as much in your missive alerting us t your arrival. The Conclave has agreed to the Martyring of Chief Hardak Boarsplitter, with Vaekir Isaiu giving his support. It shall be noted that he is to be Martyred for his sacrifice in order to protect the lives of his fellow Aedakom during his counter charge, and it is for this that he shall be remembered."
"In relation to this canonization, the Vaekir has determined that this war must be prosecuted with Dignity to all parties. Due to your enemy's so-far unwillingness or inability to deploy apostate war-mages, whichever reason being irrelevant, we have determined it is not in the Duty of the Tovenaar-Akur to be deployed. However, we shall be sending an additional retinue of Tovenaar to assist with medical duties. If there comes a time that the enemy brings forth malicious apostates, the Tovenaar-Akur shall march in full force to oppose them."
