A small set of scouts began to ride out in the morning, carrying with them a flag of peace to the Ikegami forces. With them, they carried a message written from Aonag himself after the failures of Brorg and his assault against the Ikegami forces.
To whomever this note reaches,
It hasn't been until now that I have recognized the Ikegami's as equal, nor have I seen them as a potential player in the battlefield that is this unjust war. Either from pride or ignorance, I didn't believe that the Ikegami where to be fooled into mobilizing an army worthy of facing that of the Sacrye forces. Don't misunderstand my words however. To be fooled into believing the orc cause to be just, isn't something unusual nor is it unbelievable. The Esharans believed such reality to be true as well, and when the arms of peace where reached out to the Orcs they swatted it down quickly and without error. It is here that the war began and with both your forces and theirs marching upon the great lands of the Sacrye. Now the Orclanders make their final stand in Gusko's rest, having butchered nearly 20,000 Giants without giving pause to their surrender, and the countless women and children who played no part in the activities of their ancestors lay dead, without proper burial. If this is the honorable acts that the Ikegami chose to stand by then I'm to be sorely mistaken.
However, I believe that there is a shed of honor in the Ikegami forces. Something I questioned, until hearing of the tenacity in the recent engagement of your army versus ours. So it is here that I bring about a call for peace to your army, that they turn back now before more blood be shed. That the Orclander forces see the justice that they deserve for those slaughtered without second thought.
If however your honor prevents you from gracefully exciting the war, then let this conflict between our two nations end with as little bloodshed as possible. I offer myself up, as a warrior to stand against the Ikegami's best. To challenge them in single combat. Should my victory be assured, then the Ikegami will leave without question or bloodshed. Should I however fail to defeat your chosen warrior, then my forces will accept terms of equal value to that which is being currently proposed.
