The Collosi Invasion The Winter of 942 YP Black sails the size of entire warships of lesser peoples roared with the whipping of winds as entire fleets of barbaric giants sailed into the Yanitro Sea. With gruesome fetishes and fearsome totems strewn about the massive vessels, the colossal warships of the Daityan reavers made for a terrifying vision. With no navy to speak of maintained by either of the nations holding the straight into the Bay of Tears, the Collosi fleets sailed in unopposed. Master predators like the sharks that seemed to dominate their iconography, the vessels made a beeline for the weakest and least defended of the inner sea. First it would be trading vessels that suffered, caught by the predatory hunger of the giant invaders. Then, the coastlines were set ablaze. All along the Yanitro Sea could be found the results of Daityan brutality but none would suffer worse than Damgh during the starting months of the Invasion.
The Righteous Duchy had much to fear from its west prior to the invasion, eyes watching closely their neighbors to the west. The Orcish state of Mogui had recently engaged in a successful invasion of the Radiant Dydorist Tetrarchy of Firouz. Though unwilling to legitimately take part in the war itself, the Righteous Duchy was quick to fortify its own borders. With brotherly Dydorists to their north and east and no threat from the seas, their coastline had been left undefended and ripe for the rampant reaving of monstrous invaders. In a masterstroke of ferocity the Collosi ships descended upon the undefended coast and did as they pleased. When the Damghian army was mobilized to engage they were taken apart piecemeal by clever and overwhelming coastal assaults. Though not yet collapsed the Righteous Duchy of Damgh had been forced to its knees within only the opening months of the Daityan raids. They would stand, if the west was wise, as a cautionary tale and a call to action against the giant raiders from the north.
SUMMARY-- The Daitya, fearsome giants from the North, begin the Collosi Invasions against the Western Realms. -- The Daitya possess a large numbers of fleets within the Yanitro Sea flying under black flags with no information yet gained on their numbers, political affiliations, or purposes beyond pillaging the West. -- The Righteous Duchy of Damgh has been attacked in the opening raids of the Collosi Invasion, suffering incredibly losses at the hands of the raiders.

The Reaving of Sathey The coast of the Kaerschan province of Sathey was set ablaze. Descending upon the short strip of coastal villages like a swarm of locusts came a vast host of ships, whispered to be hundreds strong, full to the brim with the devilish race of giants. Horned, fanged, and clawed like monsters out of a story book, these demonic invaders set upon the defenseless people of Sathey with little pause and even less mercy. Due to the immense number of warships and the even greater host of reavers aboard them, the Reaving of Sathey lasted little more than several hours. This was, surprisingly, the first example of a well organized and efficient attack by the Daityan warfleets; no longer were they moving in sporadic hosts of bloodthirsty but bedraggled bandits but instead as fearsome and surprisingly disciplined marauders. A defense had been mounted in one of the townships as militia roused to purpose to fight against the invaders. Though the fighting had been fierce it had not lasted long and the town was put to the torch with the entire population massacred as evidence of Daityan resolve. Elsewhere, and perhaps worse still, the populations saw their men put to the sword and the women and children hauled away onto warships bound for much darker places, well from the light of Dydor. No longer could it be said that the Daitya, or the Collosi in the local tongues, were a threat to ignore. What the Westerns now faced was undoubtedly the fight of their lives as the seaborne monstrosities, so similar to the terrors from the east, unleashed their full military might upon the coastal peoples of the west. SUMMARY-- The Reaving of Sathay sees the Kaerschan province of Sathey raided by an immense Collosi fleet. -- The population of Sathey is, as of Turn 7, reduced by 1 and the Irrigation there is damaged. Damage can be repaired with a payment of 10 gold (reduced by any modifiers that apply to construction) over a period of a single turn. -- The Reaver Fleet makes off with 10 Gold worth of loot, 5 Tons of Food, and 10 tons of supplies (NOT to be taken from the Kaerschan stores). The resources can potentially be reclaimed by defeating the Reaver Fleet or finding where the goods are stored.

The Rally at Saar On the rough coastline of Saar in the imperial territories of Viikhalakan the first resistance to the Daityan invaders was put to the test. Up until then the raiders had free reign, having done considerable damage to the Dydorist states of Damgh, Bukhuru, and Muragh. Having grown increasingly reckless, the reaving fleets of the Colossi had separated to enjoy gathering the spoils of their war separately; this swiftly proved to be in error. A large portion of the raider fleet spread itself across Viikhalakan shores, finding the region of Saar particularly wealthy and worthy of their predations. As their ships found individual villages to attack they were rapidly punished by the garrisoning forces of the Imperial Army. In a masterful display, Viikhalakan forces individually crushed the small flotillas of ships and their compliment of raiders with few casualties and many captives; it had been the first sign that the Collosi were not the invincible hulks they made themselves out to be.
Despite the success of the defenders against their giant foes, the victory would cost them; a warlord, one of the several leading the invasions, had lost a number of his most trusted followers in the failed raid. Ravan, as he would come to be known, would not allow this slight against his warriors to come to pass. Organizing a large host, Ravan expressed directly to the Viikhalakan defenders that he would have vengeance for his fallen brethren. The warhost was spotted a week later sailing down the coast to Saar once more, no doubt intended to wipe the stain of the earlier failure away by force.
SUMMARY -- Several raids on Saar are easily swept aside by the Viikhalakan defenders, led directly by Kevennys Miknavio. -- In response to these crushing defeats, a reaver lord known as Ravan has declared his intent to seek vengeance upon the Viikhalakans. -- Ravan's Attack on Saar, a field battle between Ravan's reaver forces and all Viikhalakan troops able to be mustered in the area, shall begin as a new battle thread.

The Great Daityan Host After a period of one long year the Daityan fleets have reemerged from the West. From the words of captured raiders and freed slaves it has been determined that the ships of the Daityans had returned to their homeland due to the death of one of their great rulers. A ceremony and feast was held, in which the sons and closest confidants of the old Raider lord partook of his flesh, and a new leader was decided upon. Despite the bloodying of Ravan at the Battle of Saar his fiery rhetoric and list of battle honors from many raids gained him considerable support and the Reaver Lord was officially raised to the title of Asur. Alongside his two brothers, Bakasur and Kirmir, and his eldest son Indraj, Ravan set sail ahead of the largest fleet yet assembled of the Daityans with the express purpose not to raid but to conquer.
The fleet landed in the capital of Muragh, Dorush, and set the Biarchy ablaze within weeks. One of the Biarchs, Tomaril Gunjurar, managed to successfully escape the conquest of the city while his counterpart, Indur Degtoru, was strung up and devoured alive on the exterior walls of the city. The warhost acted quickly to consolidate its power, fortifying the area swiftly while simultaneously crushing all resistance. The population was enslaved with many of the men shipped off back to the homeland and the labors of the Muraghi people were set back in motion to feed the Daityan warmachine. For the first time a Daityan army had taken a city and remained, their borders now stretching ever closer to the Kaerschan countryside. Border raids would start by both warships and land-bound bands of Daityans seeking easy plunder as their grasp expanded swiftly across the land. For now the Daityans were busy enjoying the fruits of their conquests but it would not be long before their attention was turned. Much like the barbarian Sylphs of the Usakhs it seemed their prerogative now to stay where they had found themselves. With numerous warbands landing every day and the city of Dorush, now renamed Mutal Lank, serving as a base for their raiding operations it was incredibly clear that without attempts to remove their forces, their goals were easily met. SUMMARY-- Daityan forces under the command of Ravan have successfully conquered much of the nation of Muragh, forming their own country of Mutal Lank around the capital city of the same name. -- The Daityan Law, the area of occupied Muragh, is fiercely protected by the arrivals and is frequently reinforced from their homeland to the west. -- PMs shall be sent within 24 Hours regarding the effects to Daityan-affected nations (Kaersch and Viikhalakan)
