Peace has existed between the Jotun Jarldoms and the Holy Union for as long as we have been neighbours - disputes over usage of the River Velnir were settled by treaty and border incidents have been non-existent. This consistent state of affairs, more than anything, confirms the friendly disposition of our nations one towards the other, and His Sacred Majesty would like nothing more than to see this friendly disposition built upon. If it please the High Jarl, the Holy Union would like to open a sea trade route between itself and the Jotun Jarldoms.

Following the recent assault by Jotun ships on Esharan territory, Her Sacred Majesty has officially rescinded the offer of establishing trade between our nations. Further to that, Her Sacred Majesty wishes it be known that, following the Jotun attack, a state of war now exists between Eshara and the Jotun. Her Sacred Majesty will accept an official apology and compensation if the raid was made in mistake. Until such a time, it is war.

With the cessation of hostilities in Gusko's Rest and the arrival of a Jotun delegate to the official negotiations, Eshara will be abiding by the conditions of truce set forth for the negotiations to take place. All Esharan troops currently in the province of Conna will begin their withdrawal, and it is likewise expected that all Jotun raids will halt immediately along with all disruption of Esharan sea trade.
