War was coming. The Firetooth knew it, Sacrye knew it, the North knew it. Still, there were formalities that had to be observed; One could not simply march into enemy lands and open fire. And so it was that as the massive Armies of Orcland's various Clans massed along Sacrye's borders, preparing for what they knew was coming, a single emissary rode north. It was an exceptionally dangerous job, he knew. The Sacrye claimed to have ceased their sacrifices of live prisoners, but few Orcs put stock in their claim. Torgoth Ironheart hardly expected to walk out of the north with his head intact after delivering his message.
Standing before the highest ranked Sacrye Giant he was able to reach, he read aloud his message:
"One hundred years ago Sacrye invaded and laid claim to the lands of the Ironskull Clan. You justify your invasion by Right of Conquest, slaying those who faced you and murderous them on altars before your heathen god. We contest this claim. By right of Time Immemorial in the traditions of our people, the lands in the Delta of Korath and the City of Gusko's Rest belong to the Ironskull Clan. We contest your claim to Right of Conquest by the might of our own armies, and demand that you rescind your claim immediately. Remove all forces from the lands of the Ironskull, vacate Gusko's Rest and allow its rightful owners to occupy it. If you refuse to acquiesce, then by the decree of the Elder Council, you will be driven out by force of arms."
The emissary glanced up from his paper. "Your response, sir?"
