Ouichi Souhei unlike his fellows continued his travels into the Orcish wastes, travelling through the lands of the Firetooth and making the long trek to the domain of the Stonefoot clans. The Stonefoot orcs and the Ikegami had never had much of a diplomatic relationship. Souhei wished to change that, he'd acquired the capital and approval of Lady Sayoko and began the journey.
He would see to opening trade with the Stonefoot as soon as possible.

The Stonefoot Clan had little historical contact with the Ikegami, and even this had been mediated mostly through the Firetooth, notably through volunteers who had fought under their banner against the elves. However, the Ikegami state's reputation for nobility and fair dealing preceded it even this far into the Orclands.
Ouichi Souhei was escorted without delay into the city of Cournoy. Though relatively modest in size by Northern standards, it hosted a grandiose palace for the Stonefoot Council, and more important House Boarsplitter - by now unquestioned master of the Clan's politics. With the Chief and his heir away, his daughter Acca Boarsplitter acted as representative. She was a tall orc, clad in chain-mail and hides - old and humble wear for a member of the North's only orcish royal family.
After welcoming the delegate into her family's hall and receiving his greetings in turn, she wasted no time getting to business. "So what brings you to the Stonefoot Clan this day, representative of Daimyo Ikegami Sayoko?"

Souhei bowed formally before Acca Boarsplitter as was tradition and common courtesy among the Ikegami. He reached within his kimono for the roll of parchment he had brought with him. It was still wrapped up, the seal of the Ikegami royal family unbroken as he presented it to Acca.
"Sayoko-sama has sent me to your splendid court to discuss the possibility of trade with the Stonefoot clans. Ikegami goods are already traveling to the Firetooth and Wolfwyrd clans, and we would be honored if the Stonefoot would likewise agree to the exchange of goods for the benefit of both of our peoples."

"Both orcish and Southern custom would dictate you present House Boarsplitter with a gift before the scroll," Acca mused, but she accepted the parchment nonetheless. As the dignitary spoke, she read through the written proposal.
"On behalf of Clan Stonefoot, I accept," she replied flatly. "Have you any other business to attend to? If not, feel welcome to stay the night in the palace apartments as a guest of House Boarsplitter and the Stonefoot Council." Not that the council had any effective word over the matter, naturally.
