- The Battle of Dead Horses : Considered a founding moment of the Viikhalakan empire. It was fought between the Viisaling Warlord Gavrilako the Backbreaker and a formation of Khallak horselords, bent on the destruction of the Viisaling horde. The battle is called as such because the Viisalings used the dead horses of their enemies to create flesh barricades within the grove they sheltered in. It was a Viisaling victory and opened the Saar and Khava regions for the pillaging and conquest by the Viisalings.
- The Battle of Six Knives : In the 46 BP, six Viisaling and Khallak warlords fought a battle for control of the Mahlan river. It took place initially on a flood plain, however a flash flood caused the battlefield to become a marsh mid combat. This tradition has arisen as a mean of determining the size and age of an elf, as well as used as a colloquialism for getting a fair price. If the distance is too great, the price is lowered. If too small, the price is heightened. Slave traders within the empire often carry callipers to help measure and determine what work is best suited for a product. Larger slaves are put to manual labour or as gladiators. While smaller headed slaves are sold to be servants, tutors or prostitutes.
- Kevennys : Translating to "Prince", it is a title offered only to the offspring of a Varakeisari, regardless of if they are legitimate or not. Although it is good practice for the firstborn to be legitimate, for the sake of the political alliances that are made between imperial and noble parties involved.
- Khallak (Khallaks) : A horse people of the grasslands surrounding the Yanitro Sea, Khallaks are famed horsemen and are an integral part of Viikhalakan culture. They are often noted for their dark hair and epicanthic folded eyes. Despite their prominence in Viikhalakan history, few modern khallaks exist and their original nomadic way of life has been butchered and left to slowly die out.
- Kommentajas : Translating to "Lord", a kommentajas is a noble of the Viikhalakan empire, with estates descended from noble lineage or from imperial grants. Though mainly made up of the descendants of Viisaling warlords, as the empire has expanded, so has the variety and number of Kommentajas.
- Mahlan River : The Mahlan river is the river that divides the Saar and Paarvu provinces. Saarsipa-La is built on the east bank of the estuary of this river.
- Sevatoor Forests : A vast stretch of woodland to the northeast of Khava and Saar. The Sevatoor forests were a stopping point for the migrating droves of the Viisalings. The conifers were familiar to their native lands in the far north and were a staging point for their conquest into khallak lands.

- Tebrakut (Tebrakuts) : A race of western elves originally from the Tebrumi region of the empire. They were conquered and enslaved by the Viikhalakans in the early years of Gavrilako the Backbreaker's reign as Varakeisari. Today, they are an underclass of slaves, often put to gruelling work as labourers, house servants or as entertainment. Though over the centuries, some Tebrakuts have been freed. They are forced to live in ghettos in towns and cities, as well as wear burgundy hats or armbands to distinguish themselves from their enslaved brethren.
- Varakeisari : Translating as Grand Tyrant/Overlord in the Viisaling culture of old. The name to a modern Viikhalakan means Emperor. The Varakeisari is the supreme authority in the empire and the bureaucratic system of officials and lords stems directly from them. There have been twenty eight Varakeisari over the centuries, one of which is a usurpers, Taasekana the Usurper. Four bastards (All either the children or grandchildren of Hiiakrom II) and two joint-Varakeisaris, Maisenia and Oporiako the Half-Tyrants.
