Race:

Religion:
Almuric/Search-Aedak
Monarch:
Naryur Kharok Szaboyar-Szekeres (Military Governor/Logistics Commander/Captain) -
First and only son to the Kezur of the Gospodars, Yurok Szaboyar-Szekeres the Liberator, and the ill-fated farseer Khara Nemeth, Kharok was born in the Far North beneath the magical tempests that plagued those far off lands. His upbringing was deeply affected by the eventual settling of Beg Gurhim by the Gospodars and further altered by his education in numerous southern realms including New Byrnis and Berranda. The young Harcur served alongside his educators on the field of battle numerous times as a mercenary among the host of the Gospodars, deployed in both Tanglemane's War and the Siege of the River Hills. As the Almuric Search moved towards an Aedak-inspired syncretic reformation, Kharok committed to a pilgrimage to Messara out of youthful curiosity and a desire to learn more about these Southern realms. It was here that he was inundated with Byrnian, Khaitis, and Messarom ideologies that would further shape his understanding of the world.
Upon his return and not long after, the aged Kezur passed into the afterlife with Kharok succeeding him as Kezur of the Gospodars and Sultan of Beg Gurhim. As if by some ill-turn of fate, just months after his father's death the world erupted into the third great conflict of that century. Refusing to take sides and busily focusing on solidifying his own newfound position within his nation, Kezur Kharok declared the neutrality of the United Holds and directed his focus inwards. Despite his insistence war was brought to the realms of the Gospodars and war erupted between the Kezur's nation and the Orthodox Bloc. The war outside his own realm unimportant to his overall goals, the Gospodars fought tenaciously in their way of war and quickly gained acceptable recompense for slights directed at them by a foolish and overzealous Berranda General. With their wargoals attained the Gospodars quit the fight and returned home, allowing the war to continue unabated.
During this time, much to the surprise of Kharok and his kin, the Vaigayars and Talgayars arrived en-masse via the same paths that took the Gospodars southwards two decades prior. A war erupted between the hordes as old rivalries flared out of desire to collect the remaining pieces of the Granite Crown. Although destructive beyond belief as both sides waged proper, Almuric war, the conflict ended in the total surrender of the Vaigayars to the Gospodars and the near annihilation of the increasingly stubborn Talgayar horde. With the remnants of the Granite Crown brought together and repaired, Kharok declared the reforging of the ancestral title associated with the symbol of authority and took up the long-lost title of Naryur as his own.
With the old Imperial Title regained and the wounds of eons past beginning to mend, Kharok set about creating and cementing the reforms he had dreamed of for the last decade. First and foremost was official Southernization as the old Hordes were reconstituted into countries with clearly defined borders and lands associated; Gospodaria, Vaigayaria, and Talgayaria. The institution of the same democratic systems offered to diplomatically annex the rest of Beg Gurhim paved the way for community growth as the hordes settled in and paved the way for the new realms. Further still, the three Almur countries were later formed into one as Almuria, with the title equivalent of a Kingdom in the form of the newly minted Kiraly. Further integrations saw the growth of the democratically appointed council, now officially renamed the Orzaggyules (often shorted to the Orzag) with clear organization of representatives and what constitutes voting rights within the new Kingdoms. It was at this point that, as holder of both the title of Sultan and Kiraly in addition to the titular Imperial title of Naryur, Kharok officially began the vote to change the name of the country from the United Holds to the United Kingdoms of Almuria and Beg Gurhim.
Military reforms were swift to follow as Kharok did away with the old horde-aligned systems of volunteer retainers and replaced with a professional army modeled upon and inspired by the fighting forces of Byrnia, Khaitis, and numerous Northern realms. Standardized equipment, the creation of an organized and official officer corps, and the constitution of unit designations led to a far more efficient system that led to an increase in both the size and professionalism of the Kingdoms' new armies. Most unique of all was the creation of a new, standardized unit of measurement known as the kurat that standardized the bore-width of firearms to 1.50 caliber within the kingdom and became the official measurement system of the country.
The final portion of Kharok's reforms came in the form of bureaucratic changes to bring the royal system more in line with that of Khaitis and Byrnia; though in deep disagreement with the Khaitis Realms over both theological and moral issues, Kharok was admittedly fascinated by their efficient, often meritocratic system of bureaucracy. Though far less brutal with his purges, Kharok dislodged any political authority held by the old nobility still left intact and created numerous administrative wings underneath the monarch to serve as an executive wing to assist with the enforcement and practical establishment of legislation passed by the Orzag and its representatives. Though still new by modern standards, this budding bureaucracy has grown underneath the careful and tireless hand of the Naryur and a burgeoning staff of invigorated and well-motivated bureaucrats intent on modernizing the United Kingdoms beyond even those countries found in the South.
