Kingdom Name: The Viikhalakan Empire
Race: Human
Religion: (Other) Dydorism
Monarch: Varakeisari Gavrilako IX (Military Governor and Governor) - The elderly Varakeisari (Grand Tyrant/Overlord) Gavrilako IX has ruled the empire for nearly as hundred years. Since his coronation, at age seven, Gavrilako IX has been a shrewd administrator and the builder of the modern Viikhalakan bureaucracy. Bringing the archaic feudal system and reordered it into a chain of Subetmen (Office-bearers) and Kommentajas (Lords).
Gavrilako IX is a withered old man, no longer suited for public life and constantly bedridden. Cared for by an array of physicians, clerics, bureaucrats and his surviving wives.
Many anticipate the coronation of a new Varakeisari. No doubt, Mikhnavio, a fine military logistician and the eldest of the Varakeisari's four children.
Capital: Saarsipa-La
The Fortress-City, Saarsipa-La is constructed with dense, tile and thatch layered districts and angular, brutalist fortifications. At it's center is the home of the Varakeisari and the imperial court and bureaucracy.

6 Heavy Infantry = Hyena Kohortin - Soldiers trained and equipped as the backbone of the Viikhalakan 'River' tactics.
4 Matchlock levies = Leopard Kohortin - Troops equipped with matchlocks and various hand weapons to provide a mixed melee/ranged force.
5 Foot Rocket levies = Raven Kohortin - Rocket equipped soldiers, Raven Kohortin launch spiked rockets of blackened iron towards enemy forces and fortifications.
8 Chaincoat Cavalry levies = Viikhalakan Chaincoats - Cavalrymen noted for their chainmail hauberks and leather coats as well as their skill at arms.
2 Heavy Gun Levies = Gavrilako's Guns - A recent addition of twenty guns purchased from foreign traders by the Varakeisari to modernise the Viikhalakan army.
History: Viikhalakan history begins with the migration of the Viisaling ethnic group, a northern people fleeing the Almur giants, into the realm of the Khallaks. Who only recently have converted to dydorism after conflict with Aedak mage rebels.
Two very different ethnic groups who contested for the forests and grasslands of the western continent. The Viisalings won out, after the subjugation of Khallak warlords after the Battle of Dead Horses. Thus solidifying themsleves as the dominant culture right into the contemporary Viikhalakan Empire.
The two ethnic groups mixed, producing a third group, the Viikhalakans, who's name sake the empire is named after. Though many Viisaling and Khallak aristocrats still strive as unmixed dynasties.
The first Varakeisari, Gavrilako the Backbreaker. Crowned himself lord and ruler of all the Viikhalakans, Viisalings and Khallaks in 105 YP. The consensus is that he united them against the neighbouring Tebrakuts, a cultural group of elves.
The Viikhalakans won their war with the Tebrakuts and enslaved their people. The ruling dynasty today still claim descent from the successful warlord. The slavery of Tebrakuts as well as that of mages still exists today. Though only elves have hope of freedom, as over the centuries freed-elves have been confined to ghettos and discriminated by an ordered dress code.
The Viikhalakan Empire has existed for centuries. Having formed a rich history of varakeisari's both cruel and kind. In a timeline of border expansions, slave uprisings, succession crisis and social reform. All with the spilling of the eastern world into their lands with their goods and weaponry.
Placement: Western sub-continent (Somewhere in that region anyway)
