The Beginning
Thus began the golden age of life. Not a single man, woman, or child went hungry. War was nonexistent. The world fell under what many called “the everlasting sun”. All worshipped the beauty of Vynus, respected the love of Nufdite, and the graciousness of Qiqarius. However no one loved Saarus. He was forgotten, ignored, even hated. Casting his everlasting shadow over Nufdite’s surface. Hiding the beauty Vynus portrayed.
First Saarus felt sorrow, and his tears brought the creation of Slyphs, but soon that sorrow turned to anger, and with that anger he brought rage. In his rage he created Gatyx. The world soon began to die. Resources began to run low, Vynus’ presence growing ever more obscure. It was launched into what many call “The Long Winter”. It was the first.
It wasn’t until through sheer will and power that Vynus and Qiqarius where able to contain Gatyx, however at the cost of Nufdite’s life. She grew still, but life had remained. Saarus realizing the destruction he had caused died as well, leaving Vynus alone, with none other than Qiqarius and Gatyx.
With Nufdite still and Vynus dying, life was not the same for those who lived on her once beautiful surface. Winter’s grew harsher and the winter snows lasted longer and longer. Gatyx will soon become stronger, nothing but death will satiate his rage, his hate for the living. Thus began the time of sacrifices. For if he grows unfed for too long, soon the world will find itself plunged into another long winter, and all life shall die.
In the beginning there was nothing but Vynus (The Sun), Nufdite (The Earth), and Saarus (The Moon), three beings that stood above any other lived in peace and contentment, until Nufdite fell in love with Vynus. This is the moment when Qiqarius was born, or the creator. With his birth thus sprung on Nufdite’s surface humans, elves, dwarves, giants, orcs, and goblins.
