Religion:Local Paganism: Our Gods, our people! To hell with this or that Empire trying to dictate our faith!
– Levies have greatly improved morale when defending home territory
– Can only convert/influence other Local Pagans
– Cannot trade with Southern realms
– Unique Piety Table (must be approved)
Monarch:King Rassan(Artist/Merchant)-
King Rassan rose to power after a recent and very unfortunate ceremonial event. What should have been a lively festival honoring the previous monarch, King Naheer, ended up being fatal. History: Short explanation of how your kingdom came to be (2-3 Paragraphs)
The kingdom of Haiho started out as a simple mining settlement. The few families worked hard to build up the surrounding walls to ensure safety from neighboring enemies. They were actually more afraid of being in the line of fire from other holy wars than they were from a direct attack.
To protect themselves, settlers founded their own religion which was centered mostly around worshiping Butae, the goddess of wealth. Every spring, they provide offerings to her in exchange for the continued stream of mined income for surrounding lands. There is a giant gold statue of Butae in the capital city of Datnee. Followers of Butae bring offerings to the statue frequently, and choose to ignore the peculiar looks its maker bestowed upon it. Many frown upon her human likeness. This may explain why there are few images of Butae are seen away from the sculpture.
The kingdom now thrives on its riches. It tends not to concern itself with military endeavors, but the people are willing to acknowledge that they will need basic training for all able bodied men in the event of a skirmish. The people are of the mentality that they can simply buy what they don't need, even if that includes those willing to fight for them.
