Kingdom Name: Ausvinthus
Race: Elves - Gray Elves
Origin: Old Kingdom
Religion: Esharan Paganism
Monarch: Recimir (Ruler) Hairuwulf Theudis(Warrior/General/Architect)
Hairuwulf is currently 88 years old. Hairuwulf has silver hair and eyes. A hardened face and a well-built body. Hairuwulf was born in a village in the Northern region. When Hairuwulf was young he dreamed of being a knight for the king. When not farming Hairuwulf would train with a sword and When Hairuwulf was old enought he left his village and traveled South to become the knight he dreamd of becoming. After Hairuwulf arrived in one of the major cities in the Empire of Eshara he worked in an Ironworks and learned many great things. Hairuwulf would continue training his swordsmanship and archery. While working in the Ironworks Hairuwulf crafted himself a sword that he would treasure. Hairuwulf named the sword "Egica". When the Empire of Eshara was invaded Hairuwulf returend to his Northern brethren. When he returned the Gray Elves were broken and lost. As Hairuwulf traveled through Ausvinthus he found that most of the nobility had died to starvation. Hairuwulf took it upon himself to unite the Gray Elves in the North and rebuild their ancient culture.

History:
For as long as people can remember the Gray Elves have always been located in the most Northernmost region. The realm of Ausvinthus was a vassal of the Esharan Empire. Being a vassal of Eshara helped during the tough winters. Many Gray Elves usually decided to stay in this region due to not a lot of other Gray Elves living elsewhere in the world. This allowed the community to always come together when tough times hit. The tough times usually hit around winter since the winters in Ausvinthus are the worst part of the year. Harsh winters come every year. Luckily many Gray Elves have been taught to use a bow and arrow at a very young age and how to survive in these very tough winter conditions.
When the Survaekom and the Vaekirate invaded the Empire of Eshara, Ausvinthus was untouched because of the harsh winters and their focus being elsewhere then the North. When Ausvinthus became independent, because of the Empire of Eshara falling, the impact was not noticed right away. Many people just continued life as it was when they were a part of the Esharan Empire. A couple years after Ausvinthus became independent a horrible blight destroyed many of the crops and food stores that were for the winter. A month later the worst winter had hit Ausvinthus and many villages were destroyed. This created a state of panic and many of the nobles locked themselves up in their home with what food they had left. Without leadership many of the people of Ausvinthus could not reach outside help.
When all hope was lost for many Gray Elves, Hairuwulf Theudis returned. On his return the harsh winter had finally ended and Hairuwulf was quick to realize the situation that Ausvinthus was in. Hairuwulf gathered what remaining nobles there were and started to rebuild. He sent many out to the destroyed villages to try and try to group the Gray Elves in a close community once again. Many ancient buildings and records had been destroyed during the winter and was lost forever. The buildings were rebuilt and several villages were repaired. Hairuwulf then put policies in place so that such a tragedy would not befall Ausvinthus again. Hairuwulf was then named Recimir (ruler) of Ausvinthus.
Placement: West of the Gurds, I think having the forest in my kingdom would be best.
