Kingdom Name: The Wolfwyrd Clan
Religion: Orcish Aedak. The Wolfwyrd beliefs started from missionary work in the wastes over 20 years ago, It spread slowly, largely by word of mouth, without much official guidance or doctrine, for several years of nomadic gathering before the Wolfwyrd established themselves as a nation in the North. The Wolfwyrd enjoy the devout energy of new believers, and readily accepted the guidance of the Vaekirate once they made contact.
However, this lasted only a couple years before the 15 Years War began. Due to their distance, the Vaekirate did not have as direct an influence over the direction of the Wolfwyrd’s faith. With some doubts about the church’s involvement in causing the war, the orcs have settled back to their core faith, choosing to hold their trust in the Aedak without submitting directly to the will of the Vaekirate. This puts the Wolfwyrd faith closer to that of the other recently converted Orc tribes, such as the Stonefoot Clan, than the orthodox traditions.
History: Otsana gra Ortzi, a warrior of the wasteland orcs disinherited for her interest in the Aedak religion, spent nearly twenty years travelling the wastes and gathering others of similar views. Under her leadership, those orcs disenfranchised and disillusioned with the Wasteland Orcs’ barbarian lifestyle assembled. They lived as nomads to keep from drawing attention until their numbers grew large enough to found permanent settlements. With the creation of a few small villages in the nearer regions of the wastes, Otsana laid claim to the land and declared her followers to be a new clan, calling themselves the Wolfwyrd. The Wolfwyrd were recognized as a nation of the Northern Contract only a few years before the 15 Years War began.
The tribe is now lead by Lukene, Otsana's daughter. The Matriarch and her oldest comrades serve as Lukene's advisors. When the 15 Years War started, the Wolfwyrd took advantage of their distant position past several other nations to avoid most of the conflict with the Empire, taking part in only a few battles. Now independant, the Wolfwyrd are eager to establish new relations with their neighbors on their own merits, instead of being limited by the directives of the Empire and the Church.
