Village and Regional Locations & Descriptions of the High Lords of Elon
Frontierslands vs Shorelands
Elon is traditionally considered by two different regional terms, the Shorelands and the Fronteirslands. The Shorelands are by far the most populated, containing the capital city and 4 out of the 7 existing villages. The people there tend to be more conventional, devoted to the Old Kingdom ideals, religion and traditions. Food can be abundantly harvested from the rich lands, as well as the sea and the weather is mild almost the whole year round, making for easy living.
By contrast the Frontierslands are rugged, filled with forests, swamps, rocky scrublands and bordered by the dangerous Waistalnds and the barbaric Orcish tribes. The people here have never been able to reliably depend on the King and the Shorland Nobles to defend them and have instead developed a gruff independence and means of self protection, through fortified villages and the roving Rangers. The people of the Fontierslands are more violent then their southern neighbors with a sense of clannish pride, individualism and distrust of authority, traits most would associate more with the tribal peoples of the Waists than the people of civilized kingdoms. It's been said the best way to make a Frontiersmen mad is to give him orders and the best way to make him do something is to tell him it can't be done.
The divide between the two region has always been a tricky one to navigate, but for the most part the Shorelanders have realized that, when allowed the independence they expect, the Fronteirsmen will remain loyal and make for some of the fiercest and fastest soldiers, perfect for defending the soft south from the Waistland hordes. As a result, the north has relatively little infrastructure or law compared to the south, but contains more independent farms, woodsmen and rural residents with locally roving Ranger units as protection. The South is richer, more centralized around villages and under stricter law and control by the crown.
High Lords and the Regions they Rule
Sir Bronsyn Alastair
Northwest Fronteirslnds
Bron was born a commoner in the frontier town of Dorn and was raised as a Ranger and explorer in the Wastelands. His skill with negotiation, combat and sharp wits drew the attention of Queen Chello when she was looking for a mediator to the Waistland tribes. His success in the face of great danger caused her to grant him lands and a title and to make him lord over the new pioneer town of Alestri. When he married the Ikegami Princess and heir to the throne, Sayoko, he rose significantly in national fame and status. Azlyn put him in charge of his northern armies in the Frontierslands, where he fought alongside the Kazen against the orc raiders for the majority of the war. In the last three years, after Elon had made peace, Bronsyn formed a seemingly independent force of Fronteirsmen Rangers and rode to Kergosu to help his wife and her nation in their continued fight against the rebels. He and his men also carried out secret missions and subterfuge on Elon's behalf to help relieve the Elves besieged in the city and sabotage the Rebel forces. Bron and Sayoko conceived a daughter, who was born the day the war officially ended. Together they have all returned to Alestri, where Bron is taking up his duties as High Lord, Head Ranger and general of the northern forces once more. Sir Bonsyn and most of the people in his district are not especially religious and highly value independence and expansion, with little respect for Shoreland traditions of monarchy and chivalry. They're tough and loyal to each other, respecting hard work and talent over nobility or titles. The war has drawn them closer together than ever and they greatly respect Bron's ability for leadership. Under his rule the majority of the people will remain loyal, as long as they are not personally offended or disrespected. They'll always be eager and ready for a fight, especially if it might mean getting more lands to settle.
Villages
Alestri: Western most wood resource north of Juturna
Dorn: Northern most wood resource in the northwest Forntier lands of Elon
Dugan: Saltpeter Villian in the Central Range of the Frontierslands
Sir Sean Caraway
Southwestern Shorelands
Sean has always been a reserved and yet stubborn lord, born of a long standing noble family. He dislikes getting involved in national, or even worse, international affairs, preferring to keep his attention on his local villages and people. He has always been viewed as a fair and practical lord by his people, who are devoutly loyal to him and his family line. During the war he grudgingly provided what levies and supplies were demanded of him, but wanted as little to do with it all as possible. He spoke out strongly for brokering peace and ending the conflict, even though his district was arguably the most secure in the nation. Sir Caraway is quite old now and has two sons and two daughters. His oldest son, Dean, is nearly an opposite to him, possessing a firry, rebellious nature and a taste for mischief and adventure. He has gotten into trouble on more than one occasion and some suspect he may be in league with a band of pirates operating off the Elonese western coasts and isles. It's been suggested that Lord Caraway bypass his first born and name his second son, Logan, his heir. Logan resembles his father in nature and politics and is nearly as trusted by the people as Sir Caraway. Caraway and his people are not strongly religious, but pay a great deal of respect to the secular traditions of the country, the monarchy and the value of working and preserving the land and the sea they live off of is important to them. Myr is Sir Caraway's seat of power.
Villages
Loterna: Westernmost coastal Shorelands village on the border with Juturna
Myr: Shorelands costal village at the top of the bay shore, between Loturna & Casper.
Sir Allan Sarvo
Southeastern Shorelands
The Sarvos are arguably the wealthiest family in the nation and have a family line that traces as far back as the royal Christallo line in Elonese history. The two families are closely related by years of intermarriage and the ruling Sarvo lord has traditionally held nearly as much sway in the ruling counsel as the King. This influence has diminished significantly in the past decades, as Dovwynn and the Christallo family have risen in power and wealth. Also, Allan's father, Emlymlek, was convicted of serious crimes and dishonorably slain by Sir Gudrick the giant. Allan has worked hard to regain his family honer and served valiantly by his cousin the King's side during the war, providing good advise and moral support. Though reserved and starkly cynical, even bitter, compared to Azlyn's outgoing and optimistic demeanor, Allan Sarvo is staunchly loyal and a good personal friend to Azlyn. Allan advised Azlyn to accept the peace treaty, wanting an end to the war for the sake of the nation. He is practical and not beyond being devious for the sake of the greater good, but has a line of honor he will not cross. Allen has a son and a daughter, ages 17 and 15. While Allen himself is rather cynical for religion, his people are among the most religiously fervent in the nation. Honer, traditions, religion and Old kingdom cultural values have a strong hold in this region of the nation. Allen's seat of power is in Ambrose.

Ambrose: Just southwest of Dovwyn on the coastal shorelines
Casper: Southern most village in the shorelands at the bottom of the little peninsula in the center of Elon's coast line
Lady Molly Albatross & Sir Jordan Delane Albatross
Northeastern Frontierslands
Molly was the only daughter of the late Sir Jorah Albatross and inherited his lands and titles four years ago. She is married to Sir Jordan Delaney, who is 14 years her senor and was not born into a noble family, but rather gained his title for serves to the royal family as an advisor and ambassador. The Albatross family dates back fairly far, but was never very wealthy, or even all that civilized compared to Shorelands customs. They were always people of the rivers and swamps rather than people of castles and calvary parades. Despite the age difference, Molly and her husband get along quite well and are very happy, with twin daughters age 11 and a 7 year old son. They rule well together and the region shares their values of religion and national loyalty, but steer away from many of the more conventional traditions and customs. Quirky would be the best word to describe the people of the region. They have their own swamp dialect and are entrenched in many of the more pagan aspects of the religion, living close to nature and believing many superstitions. During the war, this region was hit the hardest and lost the most villages and casualties. However, many locals were reluctant to get out of the war, wanting to settle vendettas, get more control of the river and swamps , and spill orc blood for all they'd lost. Jordan however, was in favor of peace and actually holds a good reputation when it comes to dealing with the Firetooth, which is a big mark against him among the locals. If it wasn't for their goodwill toward their beloved Lady Molly, the local people would probably be more than happy to drop Jordan in a swamp with a millstone chained to his ankles, so that they could grab their weapons and start hunting orcs. Thankfully, the respect and superstitions they have for the Albatross family and their devout loyalty to the Old Kingdom and royal line, keeps the angry mobs from forming for the time being. Currently the region is working closely with the crown to try to restore the villages and the flooded or pillages lands lost in the war and hope to expand further east. Bartia is Molly and Jordan's seat of power.
Villages
Bartia: Game village on the Frontierslands just west of the swamps
Darro: Food village just east of the Ryn River and south of the swamps.
King Azlyn Christallo And Queen Chello Yursa Christallo
Dovwynn City and surrounding countrysides.
Azlyn has been king of Elon for 26 years and married Chello the same year as his coronation. He is very well beloved by the people and a respected warrior as well as an artist. To many he is the ideal Old Kingdom King, highly pious, honorable, courageous, generous to his people and fair to his rivals. Those who follow his political party are in the majority, especially among the commoners in Dovwynn and they are devoutly religious, very patriotic and followers of all the traditional Old Kingdom cultural customs and traditions. Beside Azlyn rules Queen Chello. Their marriage has always been strained and, while they've managed to maintain it and even work very well alongside each other, they have never really been happy. Their trust and respect extends to a professional level, acknowledging the abilities ands strengths the other possesses, but not to a truly personal level. They have vastly different personalities, interests, political views and moral outlooks. Compared to Azlyn's commoner based, Old Kingdom political party, Chello is very Post Southern. She is very well respected by many of the city nobles, the merchant class and the majority of southern immigrants in Dovwynn. Commerce, international diplomacy, expansion and progressive development take priority over religion, traditions and Old Kingdom culture in Chello's political party and, while they are a minority in the city, they hold many influential positions and are poised to subtly but insistently steer the course of Dovwynn's development. As a skilled merchant and administrator, Chello spends a good deal of time working with those in the Port and Palace districts, while Azlyn frequently visits the Temple and Market districts, interacting with the priests and the common people.

Dovwynn City: Set on the western banks of the Ryn River and on the harbor of Dovwynn Bay of the Shorelands.
