Kingdom Name: Ikegami Clan
Kingdom Type: Old Kingdom
Religion: Ikegami Souzen (Other)
History: When the 15 Years War broke out, the Ikegami stood tall as the Protectors of the North, rich and influential in the North and dutiful to the Empire they had sworn their oath to. So when the war broke out, Ikegami Naozumi stood in defense of the Empire and peace in the North, the clan was rallied, soldiers trained, sellswords and mercenaries hired to fight but few levies outside of Kegosu's militia. The bulk of Ikegami power instead came from the faithful of the Ikegami, those who followed the ways of old, before the Empire and before Aedak, they had hidden themselves away from the Wardens and Aedak missionaries but when the Empire and Vaekirate split they rushed to the Daimyo's aid against rebel and Vaekirate alike. The Nidai and Sandai monks turned a small Ikegami professional army into a powerful force to be reckoned with as the sudden influx of mages and monks bolstered their ranks and allowed them to do more than they would otherwise.
Ikegami Naozumi and his family went to war with Naozum and his heir Sayoko leading the front against the Commonwealth while his remaining two children Yukimura and Himawari served with the Empire in the Southern conflicts. Naozumi won several battles against the Commonwealth, including a major defeat that drove Aeron from the field until an invasion by the Firetooth and Wolfwyrd forced the Daimyo back to home in order to retake Kegosu from the orcs and defend his people. While that was underway the war began to turn south and the Empire fractured, leaving the North on it's own, Naozumi eventually retook Kegosu from the Firetooth and turned his attention to his people, defending his territory and people against the ravages of war until eventual defeats forced him to hole up in Kegosu where a year long siege ended with him surrendering only after a devastating epidemic broke the defenders morale.
With the Empire gone, the North in disarray and a dizzying number of new players on the field, Ikegami Naozumi resolves to maintain stability in the North against all odds.
