It was a fine clear morning when a squadron of jotun Dragonships came sliding into port at Karmozijn Kerk. When they landed an army of cooks, servants and attendants disembarked. They unloaded a great quantity of food and goods. All the lords of the north had been invited to the nuptials and a great feast would be held for all and sundry in the city's great square after the wedding in the great cathedral. Jarl Tholarg and Thane Gudrik were dressed similarly with gilded steel breastplates and fine velvet cloaks. The Jarl in silver and the Thane in red. Tholarg's wife carried a babe in her arms, a young son in his first year. Trestle tables would be set up the day before the wedding.

Whatever might be said about the Empire's distance from its vassals, today Survaekom poured in from all directions to join this distinctly Northern celebration. Accompanying the Thane himself was General Stae Pjjokhat, still sheathed in armor and riding atop his warhorse as if he had just left the battlefield. He led a small procession of Surv-Akur soldiers, carrying the musical instruments of a Southern military band.
From the West rode the Regent Vizier, Governor-General Wenukhei Haie. Though he had yet to receive the robes due his new position, he still presented a more formal figure than Pjjokhat with the maroon and gold of his Surv-Akur dress uniform. Behind him marched a train of Juturnan cooks and performers, certain to add a unique flavor to the wedding festivities.
Finally, from the East rode Ishui Veliu, Ishui Gaunu, and Adjuran Sujjid. The two Byrnians were dressed in all white and traveled without retainers, as if they were attending their father's funeral and not a wedding. But the merchant was as ornate as ever in attire, looking perhaps more regal than even the monarchs present save for the absence of a crown on her head. She had brought with her several dozen Southern Tribal riders, whose skills would doubtless awe those in attendance of this ceremony.

Lord Carvin, Chancellor of the Northern Commonwealth, allowed a sigh to escape his lips as he descended the gangway leading from the vessel Tempest. The small ship was studded with gifts ranging from jewels to the finest of wines (which due to their tainted history did not include Elonese).
As one of the Commonwealth's largest trading partners and ally during the Wasteland campaign, it was important that a senior representative of the Kingdom come to the Royal Jotun nuptials. King Aeron himself had only just returned to Morgraig after a year spent campaigning and could not attend himself due to the situation on the homefront. A small army of servants, pipers, cooks, and soldiers followed after the Chancellor to prepare for the coming feast.
Of course, little did Carvin know that dark things were afoot. Even as they celebrated, Jotun warships were sailing down the coast to sack the beautiful port city of Leoten in the Southern Commonwealth. If King Aeron had known....it would be an entirely different army landing at Karmozijn Kerk bearing only cold steel as gifts for the Giants.

A large gathering of Elonese nobles attended the wedding, many came as much from curiosity as respect. Thane Gudrik's reputation in Eon was both infamous and grand and more than a little exaggerated by now. Stories of the Giant's exploits had been growing in popularity in Elon ever since the tournament and many Elonese noble families had deemed the day's trip over the river worth it just to get the chance to see the famed giant and his family. However, no one from house Sarvo was present and most of the families decided against bringing gifts of wine, despite it generally being the most popular wedding gift in Elonese tradition.
The Royal family was in attendance, Queen Chello dressed in a fine cornflower-flower blue gown and King Azlyn waring bright clothes of red in blue velvets with a feathered hat. As gifts they had a set painted ceramic dinner ware, made large enough to suit a giant's table and fired with colorful designs depicting leafy vines and patterns of the ancient mystics. Azlyn Also had a jug of Elonese Cherry whiskey. In attendance with the royal party were several musicians and Azlyn had his own fiddle and lute with him.
Both the King and queen along with both of there young children approached the Thane as well as the Bride and groom shortly after arriving to congratulate the couple and give their respects.
"Aed's blessing be upon you and all your kin," Azlyn said, bowing slightly, "And may the sun and wind give you His strength and guidance this year and in the years to come."
Chello curtsied as did their daughter Eloise. The princess's curtsy was a little off balance, as she looked up at Gudrik with wide, excited eyes. She was five years old and an eager listener to any and all fantastical stories. She was also a rather bold child and spoke up before anything else could be said. "You're really him!" she exclaimed to Gudrik, "The most fearsome giant of the north! I saw you at the tournament and heard the stories!"

Elder Urag attended the wedding on behalf of the Firetooth Clan. He had brought with him fine cloaks made with tough leather and soft fur, and a forged steel sword designed for a giants hands, crafted by a master smith, as a wedding gift for the happy couple. It was a Firetooth gift, but Urag suspected that the giants would appreciate it.

A caravan of Wolfwyrd orcs reached Karmozijn Kerk after weeks travelling down the western side of the riverlands to the coast. Some eighty in all, they pitched large, round tents draped in cloth in a circle a short distance from the city, and set their animals to grazing in the countryside nearby.
From the camp, a small party rode into the city to join the growing host of noble guests. Lukene gra Otsana wore a fine calf-length deel of deep red silk, lined with golden-brown fur, above fine leather riding boots similarly trimmed. Her straight black hair was framed by a headdress with a silver band across her forehead that trailed strings of turquoise beads on both sides of her face. Her youthful complexion was unmarred by scars or weather, and she bore herself with a confident stride. Edrigu gro Bernat walked with her, having met the caravan at the edge of Firetooth lands, the leather and steel of his armor oil and polished spotless.
They approached the edge of the nobles grouping around Jarl Tholarg and Thane Gudrik, first observing the custom and manner of each party's greeting. When it became apparent that the gifts were being presented in advance, Lukene sent one of her party to bring from her tent an oiled darkwood box, which contained several long necklaces of turquoise and porcelain beads.

IOU ONE POST (In order to move the story along, let us act like I actually posted the ceremony! I will eventually think up how to possibly write this. Apologies; give me a battle scene and I will paint a picture. A wedding? A stick figure.)

After the ceremony the giants would lead everyone from the great cathedral to the city center where their servents had spent the morning setting up tables of all sizes. The high table held the newlyweds and all the great lords that had come to the wedding. Around them were other tables where lesser lords and retainers were seated. The rest of the square was taken up by cook tents and entertainers except for a large section that had been filled with tables where any in the city could come a receive food and drink. The food was not as fine as that served at the tables reserved for those who had been invited, but it was wholesome and it would continue to be served to any who asked until the stores had been depleted.
Before long a slightly inebriated Gudrik was stood up to give a speach to those assembled. "I would like to thank everyone who has come to offer their good wishes on this day and also thank you for sharing in this joyous occasion. We are truly blessed."
