The Ikegami family had been warming up together, stretching and warming up for the event, they had talked about strategy beforehand and each had agreed that for this event they would work towards pinning their enemy as soon as possible, None of them would aim for permanent damage against their opponent but they would do whatever they felt appropriate to pin their opponent within reason.
Sayoko was warming up with her brother Yukimura, who was giving her an odd look as they stretched. She glanced at him and shrugged, feeling the weight of the pendant around her neck, she'd kept it on for most of her time here barring sleep and other necessities, she found the weight comforting and didn't feel the need to remove it.
"Yes, brother?" she questioned after a moment as the curiosity finally got to her, staring at him. Yukimura shrugged at her, he'd never been the most talkative of sorts but he was dedicated.
"Nothing, you seem happy." he let the statement drop, continuing his exercises and she considered that, she did feel happier than usual, this tournament event was fun and she'd met some good people here.

As the only two humans in this event Azlyn and Bron both knew they would be going up against either an elf with years more experience than they had, or an orc, with superior toughness and likely superior strength. It wasn’t going to be an easy event.
Nonetheless, Azlyn was looking forward to it. There was something real and gritty about wrestling that wasn’t present in a combat where you relied on weapons and armor. He’d always done very well in national wrestling matches, though Azlyn wasn’t so naive as to not see that his natural size advantage, as well as the fact that few Eleonese were willing to risk serious damage to the king, probably played large rolls in his victories. This would be a chance to prove himself against more difficult opponents and really test his skills.
Azlyn was humming slightly as he stretched. It helped him relax and concentrate on his movements and planning. If he ended up facing one of the Ikegami, Azlyn intended to rely on his strength and steady footing. He’d fight defensively, keeping a guard up and his feet well placed and balanced. He doubted he’d be able to out maneuver fighters with so much experience offensively, so he’d rely on defense, waiting for them to attack and an opportunity to present itself. Then he’d try to take his opponent down hard and fast and hold them using his strength and weight.
If he was facing an orc, Azlyn figured he’d want a different tactic. He’d seen how the Firetooth fought in single combat, defensively and with solid, nearly unmoving footwork. He didn’t want to end up circling forever, with neither side willing to let down their guard, or attempt an offensive attack. He’d have to be careful not ware himself out, but speed and agility would probably be his advantages. He’d try to lure them out of their defense, with feints and slight dodges that left him just out of his opponents reach. Tantalizing them toward more reckless actions. Once he could get them to open up, some he’d try to maneuver a precise attack, and gain a hold, which he could easily control when he pinned them.
Should he end up fighting Bron, Azlyn knew the ranger was probably faster than him. He’d hold his guard and keep his feet firm, and maintain his facing with the other man, counting any attempts to maneuver behind him. He’d let Bron ware himself out then atake him down once the other man was exhausted.
In any case, Azlyn intended to use his wits, strategize his actions and remain flexible adjusting his style in accordance with whatever he encountered. Most of all he intended to fight hard to escape, should he ever be pinned and to not give up, or let exhaustion or pain get the better of him. He certainly wasn’t going to try to seriously hurt anyone, but he didn’t intend to go down quick an easy.
---
Bronsyn was concentrating hard during his warm ups, practicing a few moves and carefully stretching his muscles. He was rather nervous. So far, he’d done nothing but make a fool of himself in all the events. This was his last chance to prove himself to be worthy of his new title and he felt the odds were not in his favor. While, he was fairly confident in his skills, he knew that, except for King Azlyn, all his opponents were older, more experienced and most were probably stronger as well. Besides, while he’d fought wild animals, and many other men in physical wrestling matches, he’d not had any formal training in a martial art, just rugged experience. He’d have to rely on survival instinct, speed and agility.
Wiping drops of sweat from his forehead, Bronsyn looked over at Sayoko and her family. He could see her wearing his bear claw necklace and it gave him a little more confidence. Taking out her dagger, he kissed it lightly for good luck, before returning the token to his pocket.

All three of the Jotun participants had chosen to go stripped to the waist, with trousers held in place with broad leather belts. Since they were all to be faceing their own kind they know outright over powering their opponents would be implausible. But never the less Wulfric and Tholarg would be relying on brute strength to carry the day while Gudrick would use his speed and precision to pave his path.

Haakon stood grinning as he stripped himself down to just his trousers, similarly belting them at the knees just as the other Jotun had. After the defeat against Gudrik he was feeling ripe for another attempt; though Gudrik's respectful demeanor and treatment of Titanhand after the fight had quickly soothed his displeasure. Standing a great deal taller than even his giant brethren Haakon would rely on his strengths, holding his own defensive position, letting them tire themselves trying to bowl him over then unleashing his great strength on them as soon as he sensed the time was right. With a broad, pearly smile creasing his visage he was prepared for another glorious fight.

The first two matches of the humanoid contest was a whirlwind of upsets. With both contenders from the Firetooth losing to far more obscure opponents. Ikegami Naozumi gave up one fall to his daughter before wining the match with an impressive leg sweep. King Azlyn gained two falls against Masateru quickly and with authority. In the second round Azlyn faced Noazumi and won after two tough exchanges where the human kings size and power won out against the older elf's technique. Sir Bronsyn however was unable to carry the day in the same manor losing to Yukimura rather quickly. Before the final match began a match to decide who would begiven the third place medallion. Some might have said that Naozumi was making some kind of point with the shear number of joint locks he employed against Bron. In the end he would tap out for his second fall rather than actually be pinned. The final match was King Azlyn's shining moment. He was like lightning forcing Yukimura to the ground the first time before he's even begun his own attack. The second fall took a little more work, but the result was the same. Azlyn stood with the victors medallion around his neck. Brackets Ikegami Naozumi wins Third Place MedallionIkegami Yukimaru wins Second Place MedallionAzlyn Cristallo wins FIRST PLACE MEDALLION!

The Competion between the giants was much shorter. Gudrik won his match again Wulfric without any real effort. Tholarg however would lose to Haakon Titatanhand but not without putting forth a strong enough effort to gain a single pin. Again the two titans of combat faced each other in the ring, but this time Titanhand would have his victory. The first round was a difficult one and might have dragged on in an extended impasse if one giant hadn't had the sheer size and weight to gradually pin down his opponent. The next round was also close, with Gudrik nearly pinned down again but managing a last-moment twist in footwork that brought the Legate tumbling down. The final, deciding round was more lopsided: The Blood Dancer was down hardly a moment after he had begun, knocked over by the sheer speed and force of Haakon's attack.
