King Cadoc the Usurper: (Administrator / Spymaster): One of the first to cross over fro the Fae Realms, Cadoc quickly built a massive following within the Kingdom. Following his marriage to Jotheim's daughter, he maneuvered to place his son to succeed the aging King. His machinations were frustrated however when the Sefti nobility refused his blood. Cadoc orchestrated a mass slaughter of the Sefti nobility and many of them now toil in slavery. The self proclaimed '' King '' now sits in the former capital that Jotheim used to call home, with his covetous eyes always looking beyond his borders.
Lady Aelwen (Spymaster): The Black Mistress of the King's court who whispers secrets in Cadoc's ear. It's rumored she's a sorcerer of great power or that she is the secret puppet master that sets the tune for the court. Whatever the source of her power, the lady is feared, and with good reason.
Lord Carian (Administraitor): Once a lowly '' wingless '' elf, Carian proved that he had a knack for numbers..and an ability eek out gold from a stone. He has entrenched himself at the side of his master, his forced labor projects have lead to the enslavement or deaths of thousands of his kin over the years. Over time his influence and power at court have grown thanks to his ability to maintain production.
General Eurion ''Giantslayer'' (General): Cadoc's right hand man and ruthless enforcer, Eurion 'Giantslayer' made his name fighting along the rocky shores against the Giant raiders. He lost an eye fighting against Thane ''Blood Axe '' Hrothgar in a duel. The Giant's skull still hangs on a spike on the walls of Morgraig. The General is renowned not only for his ruthless tactics but his willingness to achieve victory at all costs.
History: Th Kingdom of Cerdigon was created from the ashes and chaos of war. Fo generations, the Jotun Clans ha aided and pillaged the elves of Sefti. With their armies battered, King Jotheim turne to the fae realm for desperately needed reinforcement to turn the tide Dark magical rites were cast, the barrier between the realms being erased. The first Sylph warband to cross was lea by a young warrior named Cadoc. Over time, with increasing Sylph numbers, the fight against the Jotun was gaining ground. Their strongholds along the coast were erased and it seemed victory was in sight. But, political machination had begun stirring within the Kingdom that threatened to rip it apart. Over the decades since the Sylph had arrived, thousands more had followed in their wake. Soon they began to create families and were demanding land to host them. In order to soothe tensions, Jotheim married his daughter to Cadoc who at this point had become the strongest of the Sylph warlords. However, when their first grandchild was placed outside the line of succession to inherit the Crown, Cadoc mustered his armies an went to war. The Kingdom was torn nearly in two, as Cadoc summoned reinforcements from beyond the fae realm. With his swelling numbers, the Sefti were pushed back and Jotheim was force to retreat. While he was forced to abandon the old capital, he did take both his daughter and the newly born Prince with him in his withdrawal.
For the next century, a vicious cycle of violence would repeat itself. Cadoc had declare himself King of newly declared Realm. The wingless elves within it were treated as little more than second class citizens in this new and brutal hierarchy. The old status symbols of Elven power were torn down as the Sylph fought to stamp their own culture upon the land. The arrival of the Empire however would force both feuding Kings to place old hatreds and rivalries aside. Both Kingdoms were too exhausted to keep fighting each other and this new interloper. Cadoc would grudgingly bend the knee to both Emperor and their God. Though, it is whispered that Cadoc is far from a true believe and that he turns a blind eye to Sylph religious practices.
Tenuous negotiations have begun to restore old bonds and more importantly, Cadoc's son and wife to him after century of separation. Old wounds have yet to heal however and the two both despise and distrust one another. Meanwhile, the Jotun Clan's from the sea grow ever restless an the empire's encroachments become ever bolder. It may bring old alliances back into play.
