Relations between the Wolfwyrd people and the Sacrye where not entirely non-existent. Before the impending war against the Firetooth Clan over the territory of Jaxtathiali, a rather tense but beneficial agreement between the two had been struck, a long standing non-aggression pact. A promise that if war where to break out, that the Sacrye would not decimate the Orclands if victorious and in exchange the Wolfwyrd would remain staunchly neutral in the war. However, such promises occurred nearly one hundred years ago, and now tensions once more are being revitalized between the Firetooth and the Sacrye Empire, with fear of invasion just around the corner.
Jonus "Frozen Son", a young diplomat from the Sacrye Empire who had only seen thirty winters along with a small entourage of four modestly armed giants and a orc translator. They headed towards their capital to meet with the leader of the wolfwyrd clan to discuss many things, from trade to the current status quo.

Though historically neutral in the conflict between "Orcland" and the Sacrye giants, the Wolfwyrd Clan did not consider the followers of Gatyx to be friends. Particularly after the annexation of Baemir, the clan's two western neighbors were regarded as competing would-be conquerors, and between them at least the Firetooth were fellow orcs and Aedakom. After all, submitting to the Orcland council would be a lesser humiliation than surrendering all sovereignty to heathen invaders.
Jonus "Frozen Son" would find his mission bogged down first to unusual length, then insulting, and finally outrageous. He was passed from camp to camp, town to town like an unwanted ward. Finally, after months of travel, he would find himself before the Chief Shel Gra Ortsana.
"Welcome, dignitary of Emperor Aonag of the Sacrye," she greeted. Compared to Jonus' former "hosts," she was far more polite, but nonetheless it was clear she regarded him with suspicion. Convincing her of his good intentions, let alone to align her interests with those of the Sacrye, might be possible - but it would be no small task.

Jonus "Frozen Son" was almost ecstatic to meet with Chief Shel Gra Ortsana, there was little time to celebrate. "Greeting Chief Shel Gra Ortsana, I've come as you may have recognized to represent the Sacrye Empire in its most dire time of need. The Orcs march upon the lands of Jaxtathrali, with no true intention of peace. They slaughter and kill the people of the lands, orc and giant alike because they have only one true intention, to conquer the Orclands. If our lands were to fall into the hands of the Firetooth I fear that the Wolfwyrd would soon be next, and if they did not willingly give up such sovereignty then then blood would shed in a far to similar fashion here as it does in the west. I understand that you fear to violate your neutrality on such issues, but if that neutrality means to endanger the very lives of your people is it truly worth it?"

"A concerning situation," the Chief admitted, though her gaze lost none of its skepticism. "Yet, why should we fear Orcland more than Aonag? Chief Artog Aedsword of Southern Orcland has made it clear he intends only to restore the Ironskull Clan. But your Emperor is known to speak much of conquest and war-glory. If he wins this war, and not the Southern Orcish coalition, we would be his best target even more than Aedsword's. Aonag would be bound not to attack the Southern Orcs by the terms of whatever peace he imposes, and he is already bound by friendly relations with the Esharan Emperor. Certainly, under such circumstances, he would look Southwest to my people's lands for his next conquest."
Shel Gra Ortsana sighed. "Do not misunderstand me. I have no desire to see the Firetooth-dominated 'Orcland' grow stronger. My people have no love lost for the Ironskull, descendants of pagan invaders and pillagers. But I have no reason to regard any better the Empire from which you hail."

Jonus "Frozen Son" understanding the gravity of such claims and the fears the Wolfwyrd possessed continued, "I understand your fear of our people in the north and our tenuous tensions in the past, however you must understand that if we were to ever invade the Wolfwyrd territories then you would be able to rally nearly every northern country in existence to your beck and call. Aonag and our people are no fool to the ties that your religion promises to the nations of the world, however that same guarantee can not be said for the Firetooth. Your religious ties will help little if they where to come marching upon your border. Completely unchallenged and unhindered. The few nations to speak up in aid of your nation likely long already defeated. If the Wolfwyrd to befriend and aid the Sacrye then they only stand to gain."
