The orcs listened as Himawari addressed each of their concerns, impressed by her composure. "Would an additional three tonnes of lumber be sufficient to speed the expansion you have planned?" the chieftess asked. "We could send it along with the worker's caravan to be delivered on their arrival. If it is, we could plan to begin construction within the next season or two, if all else goes well. There are certainly enough of our people still unsettled to form a solid core of a village there, and some workers might operate the quarry in seasonal rotations."
Lukene folded her hands on the table, her expression briefly more serious. "And as a final concern, we would request one further assurance. Should, the Aed forbid, our nations ever come to aggression with each other, anyone stationed there would be allowed to depart your lands unharmed and unhindered with their personal belongings."

Himawari nodded, all acceptable terms and terms they could both benefit from.
"Your offer is generous and more than acceptable, I can also assure you that in the, hopefully, unlikely chance our people go to war we will gladly allow your settlers to leave back to your lands peacefully."

Lukene nodded again, and there was a sense of relaxation in the orcs around the table. "Thank you, we appreciate you addressing our concerns, and your assurances." She gestured to one of the servers, who brought forward a clay bottle from which he filled everyone's cups with a milky white liquid, sharp-smelling and chilled. "Apal told me of your tradition of a shared drink to celebrate friendship and successful negotiations. This is a drink which is a custom of our own people, called airag."
The chieftess raised her cup, followed by each of the orcs at the table. They held them aloft for a moment, and then drank.

Himawari smiled and raised her cup in a toast as she drank, it was very nice and she found she quite liked it, perhaps she'd ask for some to bring home to her family. She set the cup down and bowed her head slightly,
"To peace and prosperity Chieftess."

"And to friendship."
