Yukimura shrugged lightly, offering a small smile to the Jarl.
"It is within our territory but we have three untapped sources of saltpeter, in addition to the source we have already built, it is hardly a treasure to us now." |

"You would give us a section of your sovereign territory?" The idea of having a saltpeter mine appealed, but the such a juicy offer was sure to have strings attached.

"The village has yet to be constructed but strengthening our allies is worth one simple mine, in the coming seasons when we have the food to spare we will construct the village and hand over all it's production to the Jotun."

It was late in the year when Thane Varlg Whaletooth came to visit the Ikegami capital. He would present his papers to the officials at the gates and ask that word be sent ahead to inform the Daimyo that he had been sent by Jarl Tholarg and would like to arrange a meeting at his convenience.

Thane Varlg was admitted to the palace of the Daimyo with due haste and was led to a comfortable room with a chair prepared for him, after a short moment Naozumi entered and nodded to the Giant.

"My lord sends his greetings. and wishes to thank you once again for standing for him at the trial. He has sent me to also inquire about the possibility of the purchase of lumber so we might continue the expansion we had started before Aeron's attack. If not this season, then the next. We would be willing to pay 2,000 jien per ton of lumber. The Jarl hopes to purchase 3 tons in total.
