Alphred saw a grin light up across Casomir's face when he heard his name and title peel out from the crowd. The King of the Hessnyans got up from his seat and reached out a hand to shake with the Grand Vizier. Alphred hadn't been made aware of how friendly his cousin and the Vizier werem, so it was quite an enlightening view to see how jovial Casomir got. "It's great to see you again your excellency, please, meet my cousin Alphred, He's going to be competing in the joust for Hessnya" Casomir introduced him to the supreme imperial authority in the North. Alphred, knowing imperial conduct only from example, bowed to the Vizier, trying not to make eye contact as he rose from looking at his boots briefly.

Naozumi considered the offer, he was loath to spend the extra jien himself that building the mill would require but it was something that did need doing and if it furthered relations with Elon then he could accept their help in exchange for some gunpowder.
"It is a generous offer and I am inclined to accept but I will need time to think on it, by the end of the tourney I will have an answer for you, your Majesty."

"Of course, take your time and consider," said Chello, "If you decide you would like to carry this proposal forward, tell me the amount you consider fair and we shall smooth out the exact terms of an agreement. In the meantime, I hope you and your family enjoy the feast and the tournament. You should take the opportunity to visit some the of beaches here, or go see the cathedrals in Karmozijn Kerk. The holy city is only half a day's journey east of here."

It had started innocently enough. A spilled drink over the doublet of Prince Yukimura. Perhaps an apology would have sufficed but Gunner Redwater was in no mood for apologies. The old Dwarven explorer was a former citizen of the Sultanate and had seen his nation torn apart first by hungry warlords eager for power and then later by greedy Ikagami soldiers that had marched into his land and turned his people into serfs.
'' WATCH WHERE YOUR GOING YOU BLOODY KNIFE EAR! '' The Dwarf slurred, shoving the Prince hard towards a table full of pitchers of wine. '' Ikagami scum! Everyone knows what a bunch of bloody cowards you lot are! '' He said turning bleary drunken eyes on the Ikagami clan.. '' all of you hiding behind the Vizier and his cannons.. '' He sneered. '' Without the Empire you would be nothing! '' A pointed drunken finger was jabbed in the direction of the Clansman. A restraining hand was placed on Redwater's shoulder by one of King Aeron's bodyguards only for the man to be shoved.
King Aeron watched this spectacle bemused and by now on his eighth cup of wine. He was drunk, red faced, and bored with this party!
'' OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! '' The one armed King shouted, before collapsing into a spate of laughter as he saw more and more of the party goers being drawn into the scuffle. It wasn't clear just exactly whom the King was ordering his party to attack but it took the leash off the guard dogs as his retainers rushed to join the melee that was rapidly growing. The King for his part stood on his table, picked up a jug of wine that was next to the Jarl and hurled it into the midst of the battle. The Great War between the Commonwealth and the Ikagami Clan it seemed would not start off on some distant battlefield....but in the middle of a banquet hall.

The shove had prompted an annoyed look but little more, the dwarf wasn't honestly that strong and even so Yukimura had never been easy to anger but the ensuing guards swarming towards the fight left him with nothing to do but defend himself, He was quickly joined by Masateru, Okimi and his twin, all of whom began to fight back against the attackers, working as a concerted team, being not nearly as drunk as some others might have been, though they were hampered by their efforts to keep the scuffle away from the other party goers and to limit the damage causes as much as possible

Bron looked over from where he'd been telling Sayoko about how he and his men had once found a litter of wild warg puppies in the snow. He'd had a good amount of wine, himself, but was merely buzzed and not totally drunk yet.
"Aren't those your brothers?" he asked, "You think they need any help?"
---
King Azlyn turned when he heard the fight breaking out. His first thought was to make sure his daughter was well out of the way and safe, but Eloise's nurse had taken her to bed half and hour ago. The King's second thought was to ponder had mad Chello would be, if he got in there and through the few punches himself. Furious he was sure… still…. He began to hurry toward the commotion, though he wasn't sure yet if he wanted to join in, or try to break it up.
As he was about jump over a couple of chairs and make a lunge toward Redwater, when someone shouted at him.
"Azlyn!"
He turned to see his cousin Alan Sarvo glaring darkly into his eyes. Alan's punch came hard and fast, knocking the King of Elon back several feet, over the chairs an into the middle of the fight, where he crashed into the side of Gunner Redwater, nearly knocking the dwarf down as well.
"That's for my father, you son of a bitch!" Alan shouted and then glanced around to see where the Jotun were. Seeing Tholarg standing well above the crowds couple dozen feet away, the young noble grabbed up a heavy tankard of wine and threw it at the Jarl's head.

Sayoko looked over to the brawl that was beginning to escalate and sighed, standing up and cracking her knuckles slowly, she turned back to Bron with a grin that was almost feral in it's intensity.
"I don't think they need it but it would be boring to just watch." she laughed and ran off towards her fellows, picking up a tankard and tossing it at Redwater.

Bron grinned as well and followed Sayoko into the fight. He tackled one of the Cerdigon bodyguards, smashing the Sylph's face into the top of a table and twisting his arm. "I'll just be glad for the opportunity to get a good look at your moves before the wresting matches," he shouted to Sayoko then ducked as a plate flew over his head.

The tankard bounced off Tholarg's right shoulder. He looked over to where it had come from and muttered a word to Wulfric as he lead his wife off to the side. Once he arrived he turned his attention to the brawl and began to dispense advice to the participants. This would mostly just add to the confusion since he never gave any indication on who the commentary was directed towards. So more than one participant would hear a booming "DUCK" or "TO THE LEFT" to find that after a quick look there was nothing to be concerned over. Except that they had taken their eyes off their opponent.
Wulfric Thunderfist strode over to Alan Sarvo with a purpose. A great chainmail covered storm cloud just for him. He would walk up to the young man raised his fist and brought it down on his head like he hitting a table in a mead hall to let the wench know you wanted more ale. If that didn't put him down a kick would be added to send him towards the sweet land of dreams.

Alan saw the giant coming and jumped up onto the nearest table, gaining three more feet of hight to his natural 6 and a half. He was still more than head and shoulders shorter then the giant, but it at least put Wulfric's face in closer reach. Grabbing up a chair in both arms, he swung it around and flung it at Wulfric's head, just as the fist was coming down. There was splintering of wood, as the chair broke apart. Alan tried to dodge, but was too drunk too get completely out of the way.
He was hit on the chest rather then the head and sent stumbling backwards. The table flipped over and Alan crashed down on top of Sayoko, gasping for breath.

Sayoko grunts as Alan lands on her, sending her to the floor, she scowls and kicks him off of her roughly, moving to quickly punch him and take him out of the fight, he'd interrupted her attempt to go after Redwater and she felt like taking it out on him.

Alan was breathless, spluttering for air, after Wulfric's hit and Sayoko was able to get him square of the jaw, knocking him out cold and sending him spinning to the ground.
"Hey!" shouted Azlyn, as he saw her punch out his cousin. He took his own swing at the Ikegami heir, intent on paying her back in kind on Alan's behalf.

Wulfric seeing a chance to get another elonese halfling attempted once again to bring his hand down. This time his target wasn't paying attention to him so he expected a cleaner hit.

Sayoko takes the hit to the face, stumbling backwards and nearly falling over the table before righting herself and laughing, noticing Azlyn and changing focus towards him, aiming to tackle the man and force him into a hold she'd been taught to use.
--
Meanwhile, Naozumi frowned softly, hearing the faintest of shouts coming from the feast, he turned briefly, curiosity a bit piqued.
"I get the feeling we're missing something important."

"Oh crap," Azlyn said, noticing Wulfric's fist coming down just in time. He made to quickly dive out of the way, barely dodging the giant's blow by summersaulting aside. However, this left him completely open to Sayoko, who caught him in a strong hold and swung him back around. "No no no!" he protested. He knew how to get out of holds pretty well, but Sayoko was stronger than most opponents he'd wrestled and Wulfric now had a perfect opportunity.
---
Chello's mouth tightened as she heard the noises as well. "Oh no," she said.
She wasn't sure exactly what was going on, but she was already thinking of the reasons why it was Azlyn's fault. He was the host after all. This feast and the safety of all it's guests was technically his responsibility.
"Let's go," she said to Naozumi and began striding back to the front of the manner.
